This is the Viper and it has a serious bite!
This type of split strap, known as a tawse, was once used to discipline students in Scotland and England. This particular one could be yours to punish... well, that's for you to decide. The halves of the split blade come to a point, like the fangs of its namesake.
The is a beautiful piece. The strap is made from layers of black leather with additional layers of burgundy to create the handle. The layers are both glued and sewn together.
Approximate Measurements: 21 1/2" x 2" (width at the strap) x 3/8" (depth at the strap). The strap itself is about 13" long with the last 10 1/2" split into two thongs.
